Can I broadcast mediasoup producers using MediaMTX?
My understanding of WebRTC is still very limited. I think my infrastructure design like this will work. Can you help me understand it? I’m stuck on which ports to use for RTP out (to fetch audio/video data).
Okay, it’s going to be a pain in the nut for a bit for time but you should probably stick MediaSoup and learn how to use FFMPEG (or GSTREAMER); That’s if you intend to record or offer live-streams to masses without real-time requirement.
WebRTC and its protocols and standards is a lot to take in for anyone first few years.
With MediaSoup it offers you everything you need, so just implement your HLS or recording (via FFMPEG or GSTREAMER) technology with it to simplify.
